This site documents a toolchain. It does not ship one, and the terms that matter for the software are the software’s own.
The tools are FlightGear’s
TerraGear is part of the FlightGear project and is distributed under that project’s licence, from that project’s repositories. Nothing on this site grants a right to it. Where a guide here quotes a command or a snippet of configuration, the guide is describing the tool, not relicensing it.
The guides are provided without warranty
Scenery builds are long, hardware-dependent and occasionally destructive of disk space. The build times, dependency lists and troubleshooting steps here were true of the versions and machines described alongside them. Follow them on a machine you can afford to fill up, and check them against the current upstream documentation before a long run.
Source data
Elevation and map data come from third parties on their own terms, and some of the reference material used here is CC BY-SA 4.0. Producing scenery from a data set does not put that data set under this site’s terms; check the licence of what you feed in before publishing what comes out.
As it stands
The site is provided as it stands, with no undertaking that a guide is current or that the site stays reachable.
